CATTEWATER PILOT GIG CLUB

The AIM of the club is to foster and promote the sport of Cornish pilot gig racing on the Cattewater, for the benefit of club members, particularly the youth of the area. You don't have to row to enjoy it.

The CLUB currently has three gigs; Pilgrim, Catalina and Odessa, which are towed to regattas, every weekend from April to September.

This is in addition to the World Championships, which are held annually in May, on the Isles of Scilly. Crews range through U14s, U16s, Men's 'A' and 'B', Ladies 'A', 'B' and 'C', Mixed, veterans (over 40) and super vets (over 50's). The club is an Associate member of the Amateur Rowing Association and Mount Batten Sailing & Watersports Centre. MEMBERSHIP of the club is open to:

Junior membership is open to those over the age of 10 years and under the age of 16 years. Individuals of 16 years and over who are interested in furthering the work of the Club and who have paid the annual subscription.

FEES 2008 to be confirmed Membership fees will be due for payment annually on 31 October.

MEETINGS are usually held in the Boringdon Arms the New Inn, Turnchapel or Kitty O'Hanlons Plymouth. Social Evenings - see website; www.cattewatergigclub.co.uk
