Pay as you Play is the umbrella term for Mount Batten's new range of short, introductory sessions to watersports. Trysail is a 2 hour introduction to sailing in a stable Hawk 20 Keelboat. Experience the thrill of the wind in your sails and explore the stunning Plymouth sound by water, all the while under the guidance of our qualified skippers. £19.50. Paddlesport Play is an exciting 2 hour introduction to paddlesports. Using our stable Sit-on-top kayaks you will learn the basics of paddling and then embark on a short voyage. Children's Activities at Mount Batten are fun, action-packed and you will leave wanting more! The adventurous activities on offer are simply awesome and will appeal to all age ranges. Rest assured that all of the children's activities offered will be delivered safely by qualified instructors. The centre is voluntarily registered with Ofsted and can be classed as providing child care for young people whilst parents work, hence costs may be offset by many parents.

Our aim is to encourage, support and educate young people by introducing them to the challenges of watersports and adventurous activities. We are currently offering a wonderful chance for schools and youth groups to enjoy a residential package with us for as little as £49.95 per student, per night on a full board basis. This can be a 2 day, 1 night visit, or as long as you like! Each day includes an fun filled program of watersports or land based activities of your choice, an evening activity and with every package a free trip to the National Marine Aquarium.

We are proud to deliver a Level 1 Outdoor Adventure Course. This unique course will cover 3 NCFE and NVQ qualifications.  Students will also gain qualifications in kayaking, sailing, powerboating, windsurfing, navigation and first aid. Students will gain first-hand experience of working at a large centre, providing them with the perfect foundation to future employment and careers in the outdoor industry.  Courses run from 7th September  to 9th July on Mondays and Wednesdays.  You need to be between 16-19 and still in education to qualify.  For further details please contact the centre 01752 404567 or enquiries@mount-batten-centre.com

Whether your looking to learn a new sport, improve upon existing skills or qualify as an instructor - the Mount Batten Centre can provide the course for you. Mount Batten Centre is perfectly located to make your stag or hen weekend one to remember - why not add some adventure by going coasteering or racing keelboats! The centre has superb access to the restaurants and bars of the historic Barbican and is within short driving distance of Dartmoor and the  surf beaches of Cornwall. We appreciate each group has different aspirations and we will be happy to consult with you to tailor a package to suit your needs.  We are proud to deliver a NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Activity Leadership.   On this unique course students will also gain qualifications in kayaking,  powerboating and first aid.  Students will gain first-hand experience of working at a large centre, providing them with the perfect foundation to future employment and careers in the outdoor industry.  Courses run from 22nd September  to 10th February on Thursdays and Fridays, 9 - 4 p.m.  You need to be 19 or older to qualify.  If this course is your first full Level 2 qualification or you are in receipt either JSA or ESA you will only need to pay £85.  If this does not apply to you, you will be expected to make a financial contribution.  For further details please contact the centre 01752 404567 or enquiries@mount-batten-centre.com

Coasteering - involves swimming, climbing and jumping off the rugged coastal terrain of the Plymouth Sound. Ideal for impressing clients and team bonding.

Hawk 20 Keelboat Regatta - Sail with a qualified skipper in the morning where you will 'learn the ropes' of sailing, before taking on your team mates in an all-action race in the afternoon. A session for newly formed teams and aspiring managers.

Combine your corporate day out with a variety of catering options and conference facilities.

We can cater for any size conference from 10 to 120 people, There are four main rooms and additional areas such as a patio and terrace that can be hired. Refreshments and lunches can be provided to suit your requirements.
