Busy Autumn ahead!

3rd September 2014

As the new school term starts and the nights start drawing in you could be mistaken for thinking that the centre would be getting quieter - far from it as we have an action packed Autumn ahead!

The Marine Biological Associations annual Bioblitz will be based from the Mount Batten Centre over the 13th and 14th September, for further details on this large scale Marine Life survey see The event is part of Plymouth's Ocean City Festival and will run in parallel with the Ecover Blue Mile . Mount Batten Centre staff will be at the Blue Mile working alongside British Canoeing staff delivering Kayaking Ergo sessions.

Over the 26 - 28 September will be the Big Sea Kayak festival: a sea kayak symposium with paddling activities from novice sea paddler to season salty sea dog! BCU Sea Kayak Courses, Guided Trips, Introductory courses, Go Canoeing Tours, Ergo Challenge and much much more

As we move into October we welcome Chew Valley Lake Sailing Youth Section and West Wilts Youth Saiing Association to residential sailing weekends at Mount Batten, and we eagerly await the Laser Qualifiers on the 11/12th October with hopefully better weather than last year which was postponed due to high winds.
