“Thank you for your patience since we ‘locked down’ for the second time this year, and in line with HM Government legislation, we have waited for clarity from a number of places to ensure our interpretation of the rules is indeed accurate.

I can now confirm that the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre will remain closed to the public but for members whom want to access their own craft, via our newly installed ‘smart lock’ system, they may do so as long as the following COVID compliant safety measures are followed, and alongside and in line with the overarching themes which are:

  • Stay at home as much as possible, except for specific essential circumstances
  • AVOID meeting people whom you do not live with
  • Follow the rules to protect our own families, employees, communities, customers and the NHS

Going afloat for exercise is allowed so long as you are doing so ON YOUR OWN, WITH PEOPLE WHOM YOU LIVE WITH or IN YOUR SUPPORT BUBBLE.

PLEASE additionally consider and follow these points:

When on site maintain social distancing, use the sanitiser points (we will endeavour to keep them topped up), DO NOT congregate in groups on site, follow the site rules, be courteous and considerate, PLEASE DO NOT PUT OTHERS AT RISK AS A CONSEQUENCE OF YOU GOING AFLOAT, stay safe!

Thank you.”
