*** Sadly the decision has been made for the Great Santa Kayak - Postponed to be postponed for this year (Wednesday 28th November) - as you know safety for us comes first and given the weather forecast for the next few days we've made the decision now to postpone BUT we are planning something a little different for next summer!
All places booked will be refunded ASAP. ***
Join us on Sunday 2nd December for the annual The Great Santa Kayak where kayaking Santas will be raising funds for the Mount Batten Centre Charity Trust and the Devon Air Ambulance - with Radio Plymouth and One Plymouth as key supporters.
The Great Santa Kayak puts the “fun” into “fundraising” - enjoy a bacon bap and coffee or tea before pulling on a Santa suit, paddle with Santa’s elves (also known as qualified instructors) on a sit-on-top kayak and then enjoy a warming cup of soup afterwards in The Lookout here at the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre.
The Great Santa Kayak will take place from 8.30am until 12.30pm and will include a bacon roll and tea/coffee/squash on arrival, the kayaking and soup and a roll when back off the water. All specialist watersports equipment is provided including your very own Santa suit!
This year The Great Santa Kayak will be raising funds for both the Mount Batten Centre Charity Trust and the Devon Air Ambulance - our way of saying 'Thank You' for their amazing lifesaving efforts and for being there when one of the Centre team needed them most earlier this year.
