There’s a huge range of land and water based activities you can enjoy at the Mount Batten Watersports and Activities Centre this spring and summer. From sailing to stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking to multi adventure days, to simply enjoying breakfast, coffee, cakes or lunch in The Lookout, there’s something for everyone at the Mount Batten Centre.
Try something new!
The Centre are running a variety of two hour try sessions on selected dates between May and October which start from just £27.50 per person and are the perfect opportunity for you to try something new. All equipment is provided – all you need to do is book your place online or by phone and then arrive at the Centre with a towel, suitable shoes and lots of enthusiasm! The sessions are suitable for ages 8+ for TryKayak and 11+ for TrySUP.
And once you’ve experienced one of our TrySUP sessions you’ll probably want to SUP slightly further afield – so join one of our SUP Tours! We’ll do some SUP-skilling to propel you along your way as we explore either the River Plym or, conditions permitting, into Plymouth Sound. Please note this session is for minimum age 16 years. Spaces are limited on our SUP Tours so you are guaranteed to be in a small group! £32.50 per person for a three hour tour.
The Centre also hosts Kayak Tours – explore Plymouth Sound from the water and see the City’s historical and picturesque waterfront from a different perspective. The Kayak Tours last for three hours or five hours and start from just £32.50 per person. The minimum age is 8 and under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. For the five hour kayak tour the minimum age is 14 and is £45 per person.
Multi Adventures and multi fun!
For the younger adventurers, the Centre hosts a range of Multi Adventure Days for ages 7 to 11 during the school half terms and summer holidays – each day includes three different activities including abseiling, orienteering, raft building, bellboating and soft archery, a packed lunch and lots of fun, and is £36.95 per person.
Perhaps you’re enjoying walking the South West Coast Path this spring and summer – fantastic, The Lookout at the Centre is situated right on the path – pop in and enjoy food and drink in The Lookout with superb views of Plymouth Sound and waterfront.
The Centre are proud to be one of Plymouth’s Plastic Free Pioneers and are continually working hard to reduce, and remove, single use plastic at The Lookout.
The Lookout is open at 9am daily for breakfast, cakes and lunch and serves soft and hot drinks. The Lookout also has a bar serving a wide range of wines, beers and spirits.
