After nearly three years we are delighted to be able to, once again, open the Mount Batten Tower up to the public!
On Thursday 13th October between 10am and 3pm the Tower will be open to celebrate Maritime UK week and enable visitors to get a 360 degree view of Plymouth, the Cattewater, Mount Edgcumbe and beyond.
Entry to the Tower is £2 per person for a self-guided tour, with funds raised contributing to the ongoing management of the 17th Century Plymouth landmark through custodians Mount Batten Watersports & Activities Centre.
Please note that due to the age and layout of the building, levels are uneven with steep, irregular steps to the top of the Tower and wheelchair access is not possible. Sensible footwear is required. Please also note that dogs are not permitted within the Tower. Parking is available at the Centre but please ensure you register your car at reception first prior to walking to the Tower.
The Lookout will be open for hot and cold drinks and sweet and savoury treats to enjoy either before or after your visit.
No pre-booking is necessary and entrance fees can be paid as you enter the Tower. Don’t forget your cameras or smart phones, the views from the top really are something!
