This Autumn the Centre is running two fully funded four-day Personal Development Courses.

Participants will experience a range of adventurous activities including kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, orienteering, abseiling, soft archery, indoor climbing, open canoeing and navigating on Dartmoor. Participants will also be given the opportunity to complete a British Canoeing Paddlestart Award.

All specialist activity equipment is provided, as well as refreshments.

These Personal Development Courses are specifically designed for adult members of our community who are carers, survivors of abuse, live in a recognised deprived area of our city, have learning disabilities, have mental ill health, have previously been in prison (or have a criminal record), are a serving, or ex-serving, member of our Armed Forces, are currently unemployed or in low skilled/low paid employment.

These courses have been designed with many opportunities for personal reflection and further self development.

The Centre is easily accessed by water taxi from the Barbican or via public transport/personal vehicle, unfortunately we can’t provide transport. At the end of the course participants will be issued a certificate of completion and signposted to further opportunities.
