We are delighted to be hosting an RYA Dinghy Instructor (DI) Course during the February Half term of 2019, 18th - 22nd February, with a Pre-Entry assessment scheduled for the 10th February

This is the ideal opportunity for sailing clubs and centres to up-skill their volunteers and staff before the sailing season starts

To join the DI course you will need:

  • RYA Powerboat Level 2
  • Minimum 8 hour First Aid Certificate recognised by the RYA
  • RYA Safe and Fun Online Safeguarding course
  • Completed Pre-Entry assessment with an appointed RYA Coach/Assessor within 12 months (or join our Pre-Entry on the 10th February)
  • Minimum age 16 years, experienced sailor in strong winds

The DI course will be run Monday to Friday with a mix of both theoretical and practical teaching, all based from the Mount Batten Centre utilising our unique location for excellent access to Plymouth Sound and our wide range of dinghies and powerboats.

The DI course will be run by Stuart Jones, a highly experienced RYA Coach/Assessor with over 20 years experience of delivering RYA Instructor courses
